MFA not redirecting you?

For the previous months, we have seen an issue in MFA redirections, which is not working properly for all devices. If this occurs to you, and you're not able to log in, even with the right code, we have a few suggestions for fixes you could try.

  1. Try to clear the browser cache

For Google Chrome, launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer and click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the browser window. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings." Scroll down the Settings page and click on the "Privacy and security" option from the left-hand sidebar. Under the "Privacy and security" section, locate and click on "Clear browsing data." From here, you could select the time range for which you want to clear the cache. You can choose to clear data from the past hour, day, week, month, or all time. Once you've selected the desired options, click on the "Clear data" button. Google Chrome will then proceed to clear the cache for the selected time range. After clearing the cache, close and reopen Google Chrome to ensure that the changes take effect.

For Safari, open the browser and click on "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select "Preferences." In the Preferences window, click on the "Privacy" tab. Under the "Privacy" tab, find the section labeled "Website tracking" and click on the "Manage Website Data" button. In the "Manage Website Data" window, you'll see a list of websites with stored data. To clear the cache, click on the "Remove All" button at the bottom-left corner of the window. You can also select individual websites and click "Remove" to clear their cache. Safari will ask you to confirm the removal of website data. Click on "Remove Now" to proceed. Restart the browser and changes will take effect.

  1. Verify that your device and browser are compatible

Some older devices or browsers may not support certain MFA methods, leading to issues with redirection. We have seen issues with Firefox and Tor Browsers. Please make sure that Cookies and Javascript is turned on and properly working.

  1. Check your network

Are you sure that your internet is working properly? Check your internet connection to ensure that it's stable and reliable. Poor network connectivity can cause delays or interruptions in the MFA redirection process.

  1. Security policies or firewalls

Review any security policies or settings that may be in place on your account or within your organization. Some security policies may restrict or block certain actions, including MFA redirection.

  1. Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Yes - we hate to say it, but sometimes the easiest thing is to turn your computer or mobile phone off and on again. It has solved our daily problems so many times. Now it's your turn!

By addressing these potential causes, you can troubleshoot and resolve any issues with MFA redirection, ensuring that your account remains secure and protected. If it still does not work, please reach out and we will try our best to assist you further.
